Life member status is granted in recognition of a $1,500 donation to the Society's Headquarters Fund. This donation may be in cash, stocks or other assets, and may be paid in installments according to a contract with the Society. The Headquarters Fund is administered by the Board of Trustees, and the interest from the fund is used for many worthwhile SWE programs, including scholarships. A life membership annually generates more income for SWE than would be derived from annual dues, and provides a stable financial foundation for the Society. Once the contract is paid in full, annual dues are waived.
