We are looking for 1–2 more judges to assess the projects submitted at the conclusion of the event. Judges will be evaluating projects based on the judging criteria, assessing each project’s technical solution, design, and completeness.
We are also looking for mentors who can spend at least two hours of their time helping participants with their projects. Mentors are free to choose the shifts they want between the start of the event on Saturday evening to the conclusion of the event on Sunday. Mentors can be of any professional background or identity.
About HackXX:
HackXX is UC San Diego’s women-centric hackathon hosted by Triton Engineering Student Council in partnership with IEEE, VR Club, and Society of Women Engineers. The objective of this event is to provide a safe space for women, transgender, and non-binary students in order to help facilitate inspirational, memorable, and engaging experiences with one another and help them pursue their goals. Last year, the event was able to bring in 100 students from across San Diego and for 24 hours, provide a space for innovation, mentorship, and community bonding! Through this event, students were able to successfully create meaningful relationships with role models and leaders of their respective field.
