While the Nominating Committee is responsible for ensuring that qualified candidates are placed on the ballot, identifying SWE's future leaders is everyone's responsibility. It is the responsibility of all of us to see that members are considered not only to develop and grow our leaders, but grow our section and the Society mission. We look forward to receiving your recommendations.
Nominations are due by May 1, 2020.
CHARACTERISTICS: The key leadership characteristics we look for are a willingness to develop and grow as a leader, exercise strategic planning and team building skills, take initiative to move plans forward, demonstrate results, and promote an inclusive organization.
TO NOMINATE: Please provide the candidate's name, phone number, and e-mail; include all positions the candidate is being nominated for; provide some brief background information explaining why the person is appropriate for the office (ex. SWE experience, leadership characteristics or experience, etc.) by May 1, 2020. All nominations can be sent to the chair of the Nominations Committee at nominations.swesandiego@gmail.com and should be 400 words or less. Self nominations will be accepted.
CONSENT: Candidate consent is required prior to placing on the ballot, along with a 400 word maximum nominating statement.
