Congratulations to our FY18 SWE-SD Outstanding Engineer of the Year!

---

​The SWE-San Diego Outstanding Engineer Award honors a female who has been actively engaged in an engineering or technology profession, has demonstrated outstanding technical excellence, and has at least fifteen (15) years of cumulative engineering experience as of December 31 of the year prior to nomination. Each advanced engineering degree obtained on a full-time basis counts as one year of experience.

Christina Macatee
Solar Turbines

Christina Macatee is a Group Manager at Solar Turbines with 21 years of experience in the energy
industry. She regularly leverages her technical depth, leadership, and advocacy as she leads a global team of managers and application engineers who partner with sales to find the best solutions for Solar’s customers. Her technical expertise, team-oriented leadership and focus on giving back to her community and SWE make Christina the ideal SWE-San Diego Outstanding Engineer for 2018.

The goal of the SWE-San Diego County Professional Section’s Annual Recognition Program is to recognize the achievements and service of local engineering professionals.

The nomination packet is due on March 30, 2018 at 11:59pm PST. SWE-San Diego also encourages self-nominations. These awards will be presented at the Annual SWE-San Diego Celebration Spring of 2018.

​Call For Judges

The SWE San Diego FY18 Awards and Recognition program is in full swing and we need your help!  We are seeking Award Judges. Awards judging is a wonderful way to volunteer for SWE-San Diego — it is a chance to see what our amazing nominees are achieving professionally, contributing to SWE, and to the world.   

Any SWE-San Diego member, MAL, or corporate sponsor representative can be a judge. Judging can be done 100% remotely, usually over the course of a few hours. It's a great opportunity for those that don't have a lot of time, or need to volunteer on their own schedule.
