2008 Science Fair

Mark your calendars and plan on joining us in this fun, easy SWE volunteer activity. The 2008 Greater San Diego High School Science and Engineering Fair judging day is Wednesday, April 2, 2008 and we need SWE judges. The fair is held at the Balboa Park Activity Center on the corner of Park Blvd and Inspiration Point Way . Kids from 7th through 12th grades will be there and we try to talk to as many girls as we can. If you would like to be part of our judging crew and talk to kids about their science projects; if you would like to help us pick out the SWE award winners; and if you can take a few hours off in the middle of the day (around lunchtime) on judging day Wednesday April 2, 2008 please contact by March 12. SWE SD is proud to announce our participation in SWEET 2008 &
National Engineers Week 2008! Volunteer to help make a difference!

This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and to encourage our future women engineers. By hosting this workshop, SWE will help the Girls Scouts earn a SWE badge!! Come join us as a committee member if you would like to become more involved! As a committee member, you will work with other female engineers to help create, plan and coordinate the experiments of this event to inspire future engineers. Committee meetings are held every other Tuesday at 6pm. Hope to see you there!
