This season reminds us how powerful community can be. As we look ahead to #GivingTuesday, we invite you to continue being an essential part of SWE San Diego. We’re excited to kick off 2026 with our very first SWE San Diego event, and we warmly invite professionals, collegiates, and SWENexters to join us for our Tamales Making Social.
This gathering is more than just making tamales together. It’s a chance to reconnect after the new year, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen our SWE San Diego community across all stages. Bringing together professionals, collegiate members, and SWENexters creates space for mentorship, shared learning, and authentic networking in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Taking time to connect with one another is what makes our section strong. These moments of community help us support each other’s journeys and continue growing together as engineers and leaders.

A new chapter of connection, growth, and community begins now.
We’re thrilled to introduce SWE SD EmpowerHer, a mentorship initiative created to bring early professioal, Collegiate, and SWENexters together with local STEM professionals for meaningful, one‑on‑one guidance. This program is designed to accelerate your leadership journey by surrounding you with a supportive network of peers and mentors who can inform, inspire, and champion your success.
SWE SD EmpowerHer is rooted in the belief that mentorship changes lives. By fostering genuine mentor–mentee relationships built on shared experiences, encouragement, and thoughtful guidance, we aim to support academic achievement, personal development, and career exploration.

📅 Commitment: Meet twice a month (in person or virtual)
